Netanyahu:  'I could deliver a peace agreement'    Netanyahu speaking in an interview with CNN on Tuesday  Photo / CNN
In an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says he could bring bring a peace agreement that would work for Israel and Palestine. "I think I could deliver a peace agreement," Netanyahu said. "I could get the Israeli people to follow me if I believe I have a serious partner on the other side willing to make the necessary compromises on the Palestinian side."   What would that deal look like? The Prime Minister said he respects the Palestinian desire for a contiguous state. "I don't want to govern the Palestinians. I don't want them as subjects of Israel or citizens of Israel. I want them to have their own independent state. But a demilitarized state."   Netanyahu says Iran sanctions 'better work soon'   While sanctions against Iran are visibly impairing its economy, they have not impacted its continuing nuclear activities, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told CNN in a Tuesday interview.   "They're certainly taking a bite out of the Iranian economy, but so far they haven't rolled back the Iranian program or even stopped it by one iota," Netanyahu said. "I hope that changes, but so far, I can tell you the centrifuges are spinning."   "If the sanctions are going to work, they better work soon," he emphasized.   U.S. Joins World, Condemns Legalization of Communities      The Bruchin Community  Photo / AFP, Jack Guez
The U.S. joined those condemning Israel for its decision to legalize three Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland reiterated Washington's opposition to settlement activity in Judea and Samaria, saying, "We don't think this is helpful to the process, and we don't accept the legitimacy of continued settlement activity."   U.S. Middle East Envoy David Hale is visiting the region in an effort to revive the moribund peace process and 'bring the parties back to the table.'   On Monday, an Israel government ministerial team announced that Sansana, Rechelim and Bruchin, which were built in the 1990s, will receive a legal status which hadn't been given to them until now.   'Koenig's Eye View from the White House' - April 20, 2012      How China and Middle Eastern oil powers collapsed the US stock market and major US investment banks in September 2008 … Have Obama and Netanyahu cut a deal on Iran? … Are Israel’s numerous and extensive Russian business dealings a serious concern? ... "The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day." - E. M. Bounds
